“Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors.
But today we kneel only to truth, follow only beauty, and obey
only love.” ~ Kahlil Gibran
Fear is way too present in our day to day lives, and even
though it feels so real, so powerful and so much bigger than
we ourselves are, it really isn’t. Fear is just an illusion,
and we have to start treating it as such.
In the Tao Te Ching, this incredible book that was written more
than 2,500 years ago, Lao Tzu speaks about this so beautifully:
“There is no greater illusion than fear, no greater wrong than
preparing to defend yourself, no greater misfortune than having
an enemy. Whoever can see through all fear will always be safe.”
~ Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
