Un, pas deux .

 

A disciple asked the Master, "How does one seek union with God?" 

Un disciple interrogea le Maître : "Comment ne faire qu'Un avec Dieu ?"

After a moment the Master responded. "The harder you seek, the more distance you create between Him and you."
Au bout d'un moment le Maître répondit :

"Plus vous chercherez et plus  vous créerez  de distance entre Lui et vous" 

The disciple asked, "So what does one do about the distance?"

Le disciple demanda : " Alors que faire de cette distance ? "

The Master responded, "Understand that it isn't there."

Le Maître répondit : "Réaliser qu'elle n'existe pas "

The disciple asked, "Does that mean that God and I are one?"

Le disciple rétorqua : " Est-ce à dire que Dieu et moi ne faisons qu'un ?"

The Master said, "One. Not two." Le Maître dit : " Un, pas deux "

The disciple asked, "How is that possible?" Le disciple demanda : " Comment est-ce possible? "

The Master said, "The sun and its light, the ocean and the wave, the singer and his song. One. Not two."

Le Maître dit : "Le soleil et sa lumière , l'Océan et la vague , le chanteur et le chant . Un. Pas deux."
