It finally stopped raining around 11am today, ten minutes later I was out with the camera! I went to Mulranny and on up to Achill Island, where the water has caused a lot of damage, the road down to Keem Beach has been badly damaged, and I had to help a man lift his car out of a hole, where the road literally collapsed and disappeared from under the front wheel of the car, a number of people helped to lift the car out, but I was in the hole and it was over three feet deep!
On my way to Achill though I stopped at Ballycragher Bay and watched as the rain clouds lifted for the first time in days!
