Cannes film festival: French director Emmanuelle Bercot steals the show, shows too much tongue

SHE’S certainly ... animated.
French director and actor Emmanuelle Bercot stole the show at this year’s Cannes film festival opening, upstaging iconic actor Catherine Deneuve on the red carpet with her larger-than-life personality. Oh, and her too-much tongue.
But it’s no wonder Bercot was excited.
Traditionally reserved for a blockbuster, the opening selection this year was awarded to Bercot in a career coup for the director, whose film Standing Tall marks only the second time a female director has won the coveted spot.
While she might be an unknown outside of her native France, if she keeps these red carpet appearances up, she’ll be a household name in no time.
Just steer clear of the tongue, Bercot, we copped enough of that with Miley.
